The expansion of the National Cycling Centre to include an indoor BMX Centre, and the extension of Metrolink services through east Manchester created a requirement to improve the public realm surrounding the Centre, increasing pedestrian links around the area, including to the new Metrolink stop. The works, including improved public realm, including landscaping, lighting and street furniture. and a new footbridge crossing the Ashton Canal, were part funding through the European Development Fund.
Pierre Angulaire continued its role of leading in the delivery of the final phase of works to deliver high quality public realm to complement the world class cycling facilities on offer in Manchester. Our expertise was used to orchestrate and manage the skills and experience required and provide leadership in the delivery of this project.
