Number One Kirkstall Forge, Leeds

Number One is the first office within the £400million Kirkstall Forge 57-acre, mixed-use development. Providing 111,000sqft of Grade A Commercial Office Space, Number One was the first Grade A office building in Yorkshire to achieve the coveted WiredScore Platinum rating along with being an EPC A and BREEAM Excellent certified building which has scooped a trio of awards including the British Council for Offices (BCO), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Property Week’s Wellbeing Award. In addition to the office space the project included the fit out of a large Café / commercial kitchen and Meeting room suite at Ground floor.

Due to existing deep obstructions on the site the design included for an innovative raft foundation solution that avoided the need for piling. In addition to the CAT A scope of works the project included the fit out of a large Café / commercial kitchen and Meeting room suite at Ground floor for the landlord and early access provision for the anchor tenant.
