For us, social value is at the heart of real estate investment and is a key measure of success for any regeneration project.
Where appropriate to the scale and scope of a project, we seek to understand the nature of social issues in the communities where our projects are located. To be truly effective, we think that regeneration project objectives must be aligned to the local need to ensure the best outcome for the local community.
We are proud to have worked with clients and project teams in delivering in excess of £20M worth of social value on the projects we have worked on.
From the very start of Pierre Angulaire, we have supported the delivery of social value through the management of apprenticeship programmes, embedding social value into the projects we work on, supporting local voluntary organisations, working with disadvantaged groups and individuals in society and making it simple for clients to understand, demonstrate and evaluate the impact that social value investment has on the people and communities we live and work within.
This means
Volunteering to be a governor at the primary school located next to the regeneration project we are working on,
Joining the board of The Skill Mill dealing with youth offenders,
Being an associate member of The Leeds United Foundation,
Providing advice to Holbeck Together and ReEstablish Leeds that supports marginalised people in the communities adjacent to the development project we are managing,
Establishing the pioneering apprenticeship programme at ManLife in Manchester and garnering support from the wider consultant and contractor teams in delivery opportunities for young people,
Working with the Padley Group in Derby who support homeless individuals in the city.
Our enthusiasm and commitment reflects the company approach as a whole. It’s about rolling your sleaves up, getting stuck in and making a difference.
We understand how to deliver social value efficiently and effectively. Our approach means investment in social value is genuinely an investment from which our clients as well as the wider society benefit. We are experienced at how to monetise and best report the outputs of social value investment to stakeholders so that the impact of the investment is fully appreciated within the wider political and social landscape.
As part of our commitment to community we also support minority sport through sponsorship of the Great Britain Lacrosse Team who we are supporting to get to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
We are also proud sponsors of the Salts Juniors U7’s Football Team, supporting their provision of a new football kit and participation in the Craven, Aire and Wharfe Junior League.
